Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe
Job Summary: The HR Coordinator Staff Development and Performance will be responsible for leading efforts of creating a learning and development culture hinged on fulfilling learning and development needs to meet Baylor Uganda’s organization objectives as well as creating & sustaining a Performance Management Culture
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
o Support the implementation of a performance culture in the organisation & ensure that the performance appraisal cycle is met qualitatively and quantitatively;
o Lead the development of content and use of tools within the area of Performance and Development;
o Support line managers and staff in creating individual development plans(IDPs);
o Train staff on performance management processes;
o Support staff to identify and assess the competencies required to perform in their positions ; manage relationships with external training and accreditation bodies;
o Deliver quality and impactful employee induction and orientation programmes;
o Manage the probation process cycles for new employees;
o Develop an internal pool of trainers to meet specific training needs;
o Collaborate with key stake holders in designing and implementing leadership development programs ;
o Monitor the training and development budget;
o Compile the Baylor Uganda annual Staff Learning and Development training Plan & Calendar; Lead targeted succession planning and development processes.
o Oversee the internal promotions process;
o Facilitate and monitor the career management and development process.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
o The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in Human resources management, Organisational Psychology or MBA-HR Option. Honours degree in Human Resource Management or Organisational Psychology or a similar field; Diploma in Administrative Law and Certification in Balance Score Card and Coaching are added advantages
o At least 5 years hands-on experience in Human Resources Management particularly in Learning & Development and Performance Management. In depth Understanding of Performance review methods and techniques;
o Experience in designing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating organization-wide training solutions.
